Ed Fort has almost 40 years engineering experience in sectors as diverse as marine and aerospace. He began his career as a seagoing engineer cadet serving onboard oil tankers and product carriers. He has hands-on experience in research and development, design, manufacturing and testing, operations and maintenance, primarily in the areas of power generation and automation. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology and routinely represents Lloyd’s Register in national and international fora.
