The Model Room

HQS Wellington is entered through a spacious reception area. This features a teak divided ornate staircase descending through two decks which was saved from the breaking up of the Burns and Lairds' Irish packet Viper. It was fitted in Wellington during the 1947 conversion. This area is ideal for receiving guests, and contains many paintings and marine antiques.

The staircase leads down to the Model Room and Library. These adjoining rooms are full of books, models and marine artefacts including ships' bells and medals. The rooms are eminently suitable for weddings, receptions, private dining, small meetings and conferences (up to 40 people).
