Installation of the Master and Deputy Master followed by Installation Dinner

The Princess Royal was installed as Master of the Honourable Company of Master Mariners on Wednesday on board Headquarters Ship Wellington in succession to Captain Cecil R Smylie. Captain Anthony Speed was installed as Deputy Master and Captain Keith Hart as Senior Warden.
Later Her Royal Highness, accompanied by Rear Admiral Timothy Laurence, presided over an Installation Dinner at Guildhall. Guests included Sheriff and Mrs David Cobb, HE The Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation and Mrs Mitropoulos, Miss Libby Purves and Mr Paul Heiney, The First Sea Lord Admiral Sir Alan West, and the Deputy Master of Trinity House and Mrs de Halpert. Two hundred and forty Liveryman and Members of the Honourable Company and Guests also attended.
