We hold a large and uniques collection of shipbuilder's ship models which include a large and exquisitely detailed model of the sailing vesselTorrens, a historically significant ship for the British Merchant Service and, Captain Joseph Conrad's last sea command.  Apart from ship models there is a range of important artefacts including the bell and wheel of SS Ohio of Malta Convoy fame.

Medals earned by a number of our members are also displayed. These include two George Cross’ won by Captains GP Stronach and DM Mason and two Victoria Cross', one earned by Captain RB Stannard RNR.

The library, in addition to holding a range of unique maritime publications, also houses a collection of maritime instruments. This collection includes a range of antique sextants and octants, telescopes, barometers and chronometers. Of particular importance is a rare Listor & Martins Berlin circular sextant made in Germany in the mid 19 th Century and a French Chronometer built by Berthoud and dating from the 1850s.

Upon its creation, the Honourable Company were presented with a range of silver and gold plate from founding members and other, very generous, livery companies.

Our membership should be reassured to know that the Honourable Company employ ship keepers to ensure the security of the treasures outside of office hours in addition to an extensive security system.
