The library onboard the Wellington contains numerous publications on a variety of maritime subjects ranging from the complete works of Joseph Conrad through technical books on professional subjects for the Master Mariner, shipping company histories, the history of the Merchant Navy and polar exploration amongst other subjects. In addition, there are sailing ship log books, first-hand accounts of seafaring and empirical research papers. The Library content has been under review for some time and while some duplicate and non-relevant volumes have been disposed of, a recent donation from the Worshipful Company of Shipwrights has enhanced several area of particular interest including British shipping company histories and shipbuilding history.

These publications may be freely consulted by members of the Company, and by serious students of maritime matters making an appointment through the HCMM administrative office.
